Sweetheart Stroll 2026

I think we can all agree that COVID changed a lot. It changed the way we live, all around the world. Slowly but surely, communities have been getting back into the swing of things and revamping those old traditions. Among them was the Sweetheart Stroll in Burnsville, NC. Valentine’s Day would play host to a night on the town, with a raffle from local business to win prizes.

I’m not going to lie — in my 15-or-so years doing business, this is actually the first time I’ve ever participated in a community event. A lack of time and resources, or maybe a little bit of imposter syndrome, I’ve always hesitated getting involved.

Since the rebrand of Neeshanoo Photography, I wanted to set down roots in the community and get involved in a big way! I want to be this area’s go-to portrait photographer. We live in a wonderful community, with beautiful surroundings and a small-town feel. So, even though I’ve been taking pictures for a long time, this is where it’s at. This is where we’ll stay. And I hope that this is the beginning of building an amazing following in this community.

Here are some highlights from Valentine’s Day and the Sweetheart Stroll!
