I value all the sessions I get to take part in. It’s a chance for me to get to know your family and to watch as the kids grow and the family changes. It’s why I got into photography to begin with.
I’ve known this particular family for a long time. This mama has been my friend since high school! We won’t go into how long that’s been, but suffice it to say we’ve known each other for a long time – long before the kids were born. So when she asked me to update her family portraits as a way to welcome a new husband into the family, I was overjoyed! They wanted all the kids to take part in an intimate exchanging of rings and vows to each other, so we just let a formal family session evolve into a ceremony.
Both Mama and Papa are in the military. So while they’ve not always been based close to us, I’m glad they now happen to be in a place that I can create images for them to last forever. Did I mention there’s also a new baby on the way? So exciting!!
