I want you all to get ready for some amazingly cute babies. I know that the newborns are darling, gorgeous, and absolutely breath-taking…but here comes my second-favorite age to photograph.
Photographers affectionately call them “sitters” and all the newborns you’ve seen lately are starting to grow up to this adorable age. They can range anywhere between 6-10 months old, just before the first birthday, and are able to crawl, roll over, sit, and sometimes even stand by themselves. I love this age because we can let go of these on-the-go babies and let their personality shine through as we get to play.
I’d like everyone to meet Steven!
Steven is 9-months-old. When we first asked him to sit and smile, he gave us such a serious look that we didn’t think we’d even get a grin out of him. We had to pull all our tricks out of our sleeves for this guy until he finally decided we were somewhat amusing. Enjoy your second sneak peek, Steven and family!

This is the last little bit of real sun we saw, just as we were warming up. It was overcast the rest of the day, but that’s not going to spoil our fun.
Such a contented little boy.

Why, hello there Frank. It was fun to watch Steven and Frank-the-cat look for bugs in the grass together.

This black-and-white is one of my favorites. When you’re so cute, you don’t need to smile all the time to look amazing!
